A 9-month remote coaching relationship for rising seniors heading into college rugby. The goal isn't just to get you ready physically. It's to get you ready in every way that matters — so you walk onto campus in August knowing you belong there.
Why This Exists
Every fall I watch talented high school players show up to college rugby and struggle — not because they lack ability, but because nobody prepared them for what was actually coming. Physically undercooked. Mentally unsure. Unclear on what a freshman year actually demands.
This program exists to close that gap. Not with a generic training plan — with a real 9-month relationship that covers the physical, the mental, and the habits that determine whether a freshman thrives or just survives.
"The goal isn't just fitness. It's arriving with clarity, confidence, and the habits to make an immediate impact."
The Process
This isn't a training plan that runs on a loop for 9 months. Each phase has a different focus, building toward one goal — you arriving on campus ready.
Foundation — Physical & Skill Base
We start by building the physical foundation and rugby skill base you'll need for everything that follows. This is where the work gets honest — strength, speed, conditioning, and the technical fundamentals that don't get built overnight.
Off-Field Habits & Mentoring
Whether you're playing fall sport or not, this phase is about everything that happens away from the field. Nutrition, recovery, sleep, mindset — the habits that separate athletes who show up ready from those who don't. This is mentoring, not just coaching.
Rugby Season — Train, Prepare, Compete
Winter and spring rugby season. Now it's all rugby — training for the game, preparing for competition, watching film, sharpening decision-making. By the time this phase ends, you'll know exactly what college rugby demands because you've already been training like it.
How It Works
Direct Access to Troy
Regular check-ins via WhatsApp and video call. This is a relationship, not a subscription. You'll hear from me consistently throughout all 9 months.
Film & Feedback
Submit training and game film. Get real coaching feedback — not generic notes. Specific, actionable, built around where you actually are.
Personalized Plans
Training plans built around your phase, your position, and your gaps. Updated as you progress — not a static program you outgrow in week 3.
Mental Performance Mentoring
This is the piece most programs skip. Confidence, habits, mindset — the things that determine whether talent translates into impact.
College-Level Clarity
Straight talk from someone who is actively coaching at the college level right now. No guessing what's required — you'll know.
Arrive Ready, Not Hopeful
The outcome isn't a certificate. It's walking into preseason physically prepared, mentally settled, and ready to make an impact from day one.
✓ This Is For You If
✗ This Is Not For You If
"I built this because I kept watching the same thing happen — talented players arriving to college rugby underprepared, not because they lacked ability, but because nobody walked them through the process. This program is that process. I cap it at 5 athletes and choose who joins myself — because 9 months only works if both sides are fully in. If that sounds like you, reach out."

What Athletes Say
"No one has ever taken such a holistic approach and focused on the whole person the way Troy does. I was able to come back about 6 weeks early from my injury and have the best season of my college career — that would not have been possible without his support and coaching."
— Pat N, D1 College Athlete
"Working with someone who sees the good in you and believes in you is such a motivating force to keep you going. He's one of the few people that have impacted my life in a positive way."
— Ben Salem, Kenya International & PR7s Athlete
"The man knows his stuff — the way he goes about skill development and building rugby knowledge means he can help any athlete at any level. I'd recommend him to anyone serious about building their game."
— Rhodes Featherstone, All Blacks 7s
"You were integral to me becoming the person I am right now. An excellent example in so many different ways of how to have a positive impact on everyone you meet. Men like you don't always get the credit they deserve."
— Dane, College Athlete
This is a 9-month relationship, not a transaction. Troy caps every cycle at 5 athletes and personally decides who joins — fit matters more than filling a spot.
